A made-to-order Shell Oracle oyster-eye piece featuring a pale grey gaze, white lashes, fine vascular details and a dark blood tear.
The veins and blood-tear details are painted with temperature-sensitive pigment, allowing their color to shift as the temperature changes.
Pale, wounded and vampiric — like a relic that still seems slightly alive.

Size refers to the longest edge of the shell ornament.
For scale: at its largest, Large is about as long as a standard credit card.

THERMOCHROMIC COLOR EFFECT

The painted veins and blood-tear details use temperature-responsive pigment.
Their color can shift with changes in surrounding temperature or body warmth, giving the eye a subtly changing appearance.
The exact color intensity and transition will vary slightly from piece to piece because each one is painted by hand.
No batteries or electronics are involved.

DESIGN

Natural oyster shell, pale grey eye, white lashes, painted vascular details, blood-tear effect and glossy mixed-media finish.
The Carmilla series takes a more vampiric and bodily approach to the Shell Oracle eye, keeping veins, redness and blood-like tears visible rather than presenting the gaze as something clean or purely mystical.

ALTERNATIVE BRIDAL & EDITORIAL STYLING

Especially suited to gothic weddings, vampire bridal looks, dark romantic ceremonies, black or ivory bridalwear, fantasy styling, editorial photography and theatrical looks.
Ivory Ribbon creates a striking contrast between pale bridal fabric and the wounded eye.
Black Velvet creates a darker and more severe vampire look.

MADE TO ORDER

The photos show the reference design.
Your piece will be individually handmade in the same design language using a natural oyster shell, so its exact shell shape, eye expression, vein pattern and blood-tear detail will be unique.
Most orders are completed within approximately 1–2 weeks before shipment.

LIGHT CUSTOMIZATION

You may leave one short preference with your order.
For Carmilla Blood-Tear, you can request details such as:
- Stronger or softer vascular detail
- More or less prominent blood tear
- Paler or deeper grey iris
- Longer or fuller white lashes
- Softer or more dramatic expression
- Styling better suited to a choker or brooch
The artist will use your preference as guidance while keeping the recognizable Carmilla Blood-Tear design.
This is light customization within the series, not a full custom-from-scratch order.

MATERIALS

Natural oyster shell, sculpted mixed-media eye, temperature-responsive pigment, painted details, decorative hardware, and the selected brooch, keychain, ribbon or velvet attachment.

CARE

Keep dry and avoid harsh chemicals, open flame and extreme heat.
The thermochromic effect is designed to respond to ordinary temperature changes; extreme heating should not be used to force a stronger color change.

Each Shell Oracle artist piece includes:
